Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
Dr. Daniel Gomez attended college at the University of Virginia and went to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He completed a residency in radiation oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He then joined as a faculty member at MD Anderson Cancer Center. On service, he published multiple clinical trials and translational studies on the diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic toxicity in the setting of thoracic malignancies. He led the first report demonstrating the benefit of local ablative therapy in the setting of oligometastatic non-small cell lung cancer and served as director of the thoracic radiation oncology service for 3 years. In 2019, Dr. Gomez joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as the director of the thoracic radiation oncology service at MSKCC, as well as recently becoming the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Radiation Oncology. He continues to publish clinical, translational, and operational studies in the department.
